Strike Fighter League · CONDUCT-1.0 · effective 2026-10-08
# SFL Code of Conduct
This Code is an agreement between you and Strike Fighter League Inc., a Delaware corporation ("SFL"). It sets the standard of conduct SFL expects from every registered pilot.
# 1. Scope
This Code applies to you from the day you accept it, in all SFL Activities. "SFL Activities" means SFL events, qualifiers, practice sessions, SFL servers, broadcasts, SFL voice channels, the SFL Discord server, the pilot portal, and any public post that tags SFL or speaks for SFL.
Conduct outside SFL Activities is outside this Code, with three exceptions. The Code still applies to: (a) threats against any person; (b) harassment of SFL participants or staff, meaning pilots, officials, staff, and broadcast crew; and (c) conduct that brings SFL into disrepute.
# 2. Competition Rules
You will follow the Competition Rules. The Competition Rules are the SFL Competition Charter, including its appendices, and the SPINS (special instructions) that SFL publishes for each event. The Charter and each event's SPINS are separate documents, and each has its own version number. Both are published, with their current version numbers, in the Rules Documents section of https://the-sfl.com/Competition/sfl-competition-v1.html. For each event, the versions that apply are the versions SFL publishes for that event.
Where this Code and the Competition Rules conflict on a rule of play, the Competition Rules control. On everything else, this Code controls.
# 3. Required conduct
You will:
(a) treat pilots, officials, staff, broadcast crew, and viewers with respect;
(b) follow instructions from SFL officials during an event;
(c) compete honestly and fly each match to win;
(d) keep event comms clear, on topic, and free of abuse; and
(e) report conduct breaches and safety concerns to SFL officials.
# 4. Prohibited conduct
You will not:
(a) harass, threaten, bully, or intimidate anyone;
(b) use slurs, or post hateful content that targets race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
(c) post or share another person's private information without their consent;
(d) impersonate another pilot, an SFL official, or SFL;
(e) fix, throw, or manipulate any match or result, or wager on any SFL match you fly in;
(f) abuse or publicly attack officials over a ruling (use the appeal in clause 6 instead);
(g) post sexual, graphic, or unlawful content in any SFL channel; or
(h) share event-restricted material, such as mission files, briefings, or embargoed results, before SFL releases it.
# 5. Enforcement
SFL may investigate any suspected breach of this Code. SFL may apply any one or more of these sanctions: a warning, a points or time penalty, forfeiture of a match, disqualification from an event, forfeiture of prizes, suspension, or a permanent ban. SFL sizes the sanction to the breach and to your record. SFL may act at once when safety or the integrity of a live event requires it.
# 6. Notice and appeal
SFL will tell you the breach it found and the sanction it applied. You may appeal within 7 days after SFL tells you, by email to [email protected]. Say which decision you are appealing and why.
Your appeal is decided by an SFL official, or by the appeal body the Competition Charter names for that decision, who was not involved in the original decision. The appeal decision is final within SFL.
# 7. Changes
SFL may change this Code. Each version has its own version number and effective date, and SFL keeps a record of every version.
Once this Code forms part of the SFL Pilot Terms and Conditions, changes to it follow section 11 of those Terms. Until then, the same rules apply to this Code on its own:
(a) For any material change, SFL gives you at least 30 days' notice before it takes effect, by email and on your account page. The notice says what is changing, why, and the date it takes effect.
(b) A change that adds to what you must do, or weakens a promise SFL makes to you, applies to you only after you accept it by an affirmative act on your account page. Silence never counts as acceptance. If you do not accept it, the version you accepted continues to apply to you, and SFL presents the new version again when you next enter an event.
(c) A clarification, a correction, or a change that narrows what SFL may do takes effect on the date the notice states, at the end of the notice period.
(d) You may close your account at any time, at no cost, including before a change takes effect.
If you are under 18, SFL sends every change notice to your parent or guardian as well, and your parent or guardian, not you, accepts any change.
# 8. Part of the Terms
This Code forms part of the SFL Pilot Terms and Conditions from the first version of those Terms that lists it. Until then, this Code governs you on its own, from the day you accept it at registration or on your account page.
